I have downloaded and ran the upgrade file on the OfficeCalendar Server, now when I run the same upgrade file to all our clients I receive a message that says "Previous version of OfficeCalendar not found". Whats wrong with the file?
Answer
The "Previous version of OfficeCalendar not found" message can appear for a few reasons, however the first is the most common:

1) You are using the OfficeCalendar On Demand Server (hosted by us) but running the file that upgrades a local OfficeCalendar Server installation. Therefore since you only have the OfficeCalendar Client installed on each users machine and a local OfficeCalendar Server does not exist anywhere this message is thrown. When this is the case the link below will help you upgrade the OfficeCalendar Client machines.

How to install and configure the OfficeCalendar Client

2) You are attempting upgrade a local OfficeCalendar Server installation after it is already running the latest available version. Therefore since the upgrade cannot detect any previous version of the local OfficeCalendar Server to actually upgrade this message is thrown.

3) There truly is not an existing local OfficeCalendar Server installed on the machine in question. When this is the case it's most likely because you have an On Demand OfficeCalendar Server (revert back to resolution #1 in this article) or you are not at the correct machine running the local OfficeCalendar Server installation when trying to run this upgrade file.

After a local OfficeCalendar Server has been successfully upgraded a "What’s Next?" message will appear with further instructions for upgrading the OfficeCalendar Client machine(s) however help for this can also be found in knowledge based article How to install and configure the OfficeCalendar Client.

*****PLEASE NOTE*****
If you also synchronize Outlook data from the machine running the OfficeCalendar Server then there is an OfficeCalendar Client installed also on that machine that will need to be upgraded independently. Upgrading the OfficeCalendar Server will not automatically upgrade a co-existing OfficeCalendar Client on that same machine.
