How do I backup my OfficeCalendar/Outlook data?
Answer
The files that should be backed up on a regular basis are the Outlook .pst files for each individual user that actually contains all the Outlook data. The OfficeCalendar database file is a proprietary file that even if it were backed it up, you would not be able to restore it to Outlook. Below are instructions to back up both, but the .pst file is the important one. Once again, this is an Outlook file, not an OfficeCalendar file.

Backing up the Outlook.pst file(s):

Something that should be done regularly as recommended my Microsoft is to put a process in place to backup the local Outlook .pst files on each PC. Microsoft even offers a free tool to accomplish this which can be downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8b081f3a-b7d0-4b16-b8af-5a6322f4fd01&DisplayLang=en

Backing up the OfficeCalendar database:

To create a backup of the OfficeCalendar Server database. The OfficeCalendar Server database, by default, is located at (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lookout\OfficeCalendar Server) on the server PC and is a file named offcal.mdb. The easiest way to make a backup is to highlight the file, right-click it, choose Send to Compressed (Zipped) Folder. This will create a folder named offcal.zip. Rename the file appropriately, like "offcal_backup_dateinfo.zip".
